[pullquote_left]So, why should you learn French?[/pullquote_left]

French is widely spoken in 43 countries on five continents. French is one of the key languages of diplomacy, international organizations and businesses.  Knowledge of the French language and culture will open doors to career opportunities in many fields, including medicine, environment, alternative energy, engineering, science and technology.

French is the second most widely learned foreign language, and it is the only language aside from English that is taught in every country of the world.  The ability to speak French and English is an advantage on the international job market.  Knowledge of the French language increases your ability to communicate effectively with business partners all over the world. As the world’s fifth biggest economy and number-three destination for foreign investment, France is a key economic partner with the United States.  Being well versed in French opens doors to work with French companies in France and other French-speaking parts of the world (Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, and North and sub-Saharan Africa), as well as with French corporations located in the United States, many of which are located here in the Houston area.
